Schauenburg Ventures invests in WAKU Robotics

4. August 2022

Schauenburg Ventures is investing in WAKU Robotics GmbH, which specialises in automation with mobile robots in logistics and industry. Services include support in the selection of suitable robots and software to monitor and optimise multi-vendor robot fleets.

“With their offering, WAKU Robotics complements our Ventures portfolio in the focus area of Robotics perfectly,” explains Malvine Komorek, Investment Manager of Schauenburg Ventures. “We can now cover the entire Automation Journey: WAKU Robotics supports companies in the selection, procurement and operationalisation of mobile robots with existing solutions in the market. This participation is thus a valuable extension to NODE Robotics, which is starting at an advanced point in the automation value chain: the autonomous control of existing, autonomously driving robots. This results not only in synergy effects in the Ventures portfolio with each other, but especially for our core portfolio, which is facing the automation challenge.”

Sander Nijssen, founder and CEO of WAKU Robotics, is also pleased about the investment: “Schauenburg Ventures opens up completely new market access for us. In the portfolio of the Schauenburg International Group there are some highly interesting pilot customers with a great need for mobile robots in production. I am sure that the cooperation will be shaping the future of robotics together.“
