Tiaan Strydom appointed Chief Executive Officer of Stratosat Datacom

Effective 1 October 2026, Charl Christiaan (Tiaan) Strydom has taken up the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Stratosat Datacom. The position was previously vacant and is being filled for the first time with Tiaan Strydom.

Tiaan brings more than 25 years of business leadership experience, with a strong track record in leading strategic initiatives, managing mission-critical programmes and ensuring that technology and business strategy work together to deliver meaningful results. Prior to joining Stratosat Datacom, he managed key contracts, customer relationships and strategic initiatives for the South African National Space Agency (SANSA) Space Operations facility in Hartebeesthoek.

His career has also seen him represent South Africa and SANSA on a number of national and international committees, including serving as Executive Committee Chair for the Space Operations Organization. With his strong focus on client relationships, strategic leadership and technology-driven business growth, Tiaan brings extensive experience to Stratosat Datacom as the company continues to strengthen and grow its presence across Africa.
