On September 13, 2025, mtex antenna technologies GmbH (mtex) was named the winner from Hesse in the “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes” (Grand Prize for Medium-Sized Businesses) competition. This award recognizes the company’s above-average innovative strength, quality, and future orientation.
“From the workshop to space adventures” – under this motto, mtex demonstrates how German engineering sets the highest standards in radio astronomy. With the development of a patented technology for manufacturing high-precision antennas from aluminum mirror segments, mtex is currently working on the construction of the first 18 m ngVLA telescope, part of the largest radio astronomy project of the next decade.
