The management of Schauenburg International GmbH is reorganizing. Velina Allerkamp will take over the position of Co-CEO on 1 March 2024, complementing the existing management team of Florian G. Schauenburg (CEO) and Joachim Simon (CFO). The latter will retire from the company after more than 15 years of successful and close cooperation. Aline Antweiler will be appointed to the Management Board as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) upon Joachim Simon’s departure in Q3 2024.

As a trained auditor and tax consultant, Aline Antweiler brings in-depth expertise in the areas of finance and law and has already made a significant contribution to the success of the Schauenburg International Group over the past 10 years as head of the Finance & Legal department. Her future responsibilities will include the Accounting, Controlling, Finance & Legal departments as well as IT Software and Shared Services.

“Taking over the position of CFO at Schauenburg International GmbH shows great appreciation for my previous activities. I am grateful for the trust that has been placed in me so far, and I am happy to continue and further develop these commercial issues of the group of companies together with my dedicated team,” confirms Aline Antweiler.

As Co-CEO, Velina Allerkamp will be responsible in particular for the further development of the Group and its divisions, as well as M&A, business development, active portfolio management, corporate communications and sustainability. She began her career in 2005 in investment banking at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. She then worked at the Boston Consulting Group and as Head of Strategy at the engineering company GEA Group. Before joining Schauenburg International, she worked for five years in a management position at the family-owned company Haniel, most recently as CEO of the Haniel portfolio company CWS Hygiene.

“I am delighted to join Schauenburg International and contribute to the further development of this great family business,” explains Velina Allerkamp. “With an exciting portfolio of technology leaders and startup investments, Schauenburg International is well positioned to achieve profitable growth in the verticals. I look forward to getting to know the teams on three continents and learning more about the individual companies.”

“We are very pleased that with Velina Allerkamp and Aline Antweiler we have been able to gain two strong personalities for our management team,” confirms Florian G. Schauenburg. “Velina Allerkamp is a proven expert in investment management and strategic growth who knows the DNA of family businesses well and at the same time brings sustainable industry expertise to the company. Aline Antweiler has proven herself to be an extremely competent and committed leader. The prospective appointment as CFO not only reflects the trust we place in her skills and leadership, but also the confidence that Aline Antweiler will continue to strengthen and drive forward our company’s financial strategy as CFO. I myself will of course continue to be the operational contact person at eye level for our partners and will remain active as an entrepreneur and CEO in the executive team of Schauenburg International GmbH. With the new management team, we can create value together and grow healthily.”
