SCHAUENBURG Foundation awards prizes and scholarships.

Mülheim a.d.R., 02.12.2021 – The SCHAUENBURG Foundation pursues the goal of supporting scientific projects, promoting young people in their vocational training and supporting social and cultural projects.

This year, the ten best graduates in various training professions who have completed their training at the Essen, Mülheim an der Ruhr and Oberhausen Chambers of Industry and Commerce will be awarded the Schauenburg Sponsorship Award. Due to the pandemic, this year the award winners will receive their honour by post in the form of a certificate, the actual prize and the book “The Principle of Responsibility” by Hans Jonas, as well as a personal letter from Florian G. Schauenburg, CEO of Schauenburg International, and Karsten Krüger, Foundation Manager at the Stifterverband.

The awarding of the scholarships to university scholarship holders took place during an “online gala” at the Ruhr-West University of Applied Sciences. The SCHAUENBURG Foundation will financially support two students for one year with a monthly contribution as part of the company scholarship, thus enabling them to better concentrate on their studies. In addition, two other students will receive a monetary contribution every month for a period of one year through the so-called Deutschlandstipendium. The students’ achievements are considered in a social context and social or sporting commitment is also taken into account, and there is a special focus on students with a migration background. In addition, the SCHAUENBURG Foundation is one of the few sponsors who have continuously paid for scholarships from the very beginning in 2009 until today.
