Schauenburg Systems is proud to announce the successful launch of its #SchauenburgGotHeart initiative, a program designed to promote community engagement, celebrate individual volunteerism, and make a meaningful impact in the communities where the company operates.
The #SchauenburgGotHeart initiative was established on the belief that volunteering is a powerful expression of solidarity with people in need. It seeks to encourage and recognize the outstanding efforts of Schauenburg employees who are actively engaged in firm and lasting community activities.
In its first year, this initiative saw active involvement from Schauenburg employees who engaged in a range of community projects. Out of a pool of applicants, a total of nine organizations achieved success in partnering with Schauenburg employees. These organizations have had positive effects on the communities they support.
To express its appreciation and commitment to these partnerships, Schauenburg is pleased to announce that each of the nine community organizations will receive a financial reward. These rewards will range from R10,000 to R20,000, with the specific amounts determined by the scope and impact of each project.
In the spirit of continued community support, Schauenburg also wishes to emphasize its intention to carry forward the #SchauenburgGotHeart initiative into the next years. The company remains dedicated to fostering a culture of social responsibility, engagement, and positive change within the communities where it operates.
Dieter Kovar, CEO at Schauenburg International – Africa Group, expressed continuous commitment to the initiative, saying, “We are proud of the dedication and passion that some of our employees have shown through the #SchauenburgGotHeart initiative. Their commitment to making a difference is inspiring, and we look forward to building on this success in the years to come. Together, we can continue to demonstrate that, at Schauenburg, we’ve got heart.”
“From a headquarters point of view, we very much support these activities as the communities in South Africa are an important stakeholder of our operations. This project nicely complements our existing activities through our Schauenburg Education Trust in SA, our investment into YES (Youth Employment Service) and the learnerships through Kukhula in Cape Town”, says Florian Schauenburg, CEO of Schauenburg International.
